IAPS Swimming Results 2020

Our swimming pool may currently be empty but we are very pleased to have exciting swimming results to report on.

Back in February, Walthamstow Hall was one of many schools across the country to host one of the qualifying rounds for the national IAPS Swimming competition. IAPS have been busy collating the results of these qualification rounds and we are thrilled to be able to share them with you now. The results are the best from IAPS Qualifiers that Head Swimming Coach Mr Smith can remember and he believes that they would have led to Walthamstow Hall qualifying for the National Finals of an incredible 10 of the 12 events entered.

As this was a national competition there were many competitors in each event. For example, the U10 4 x 25 meter medley relay, where Walthamstow Hall placed 2nd, involved 131 teams and the U11 4 x 25 meter freestyle relay had 165 teams competing. As you will see, all Walthamstow Hall swimmers performed exceptionally well in this hugely competitive national field and many would have qualified for the National Finals, with the very real potential for podium positions.
