Co-Curricular - Walthamstow Hall

Involvement in the School’s strong co-curricular involvement continues into the Walthamstow Hall Sixth Form with Year 12 and 13 students given plenty of opportunity to get involved in new activities or to take the lead in areas where they have excelled, for example, captaining Senior sports teams, taking the leads in the Senior plays or in the orchestra.

There are over 40 co-curricular clubs and activities available to Sixth Formers, offered during the extended lunch break or after school.

Autumn Term 2020

We are delighted that the Senior School will be able to offer a full and exciting Autumn Term Clubs Programme, despite the current restrictions. The Clubs timetable is now available in the table below and on the CoCurricular page on Firefly (click the link on the left hand side of the page entitled Weekly Schedule of Clubs and Activities). We have worked hard to ensure that as many as possible of the usual clubs are still available, and each club has been rigorously risk assessed to ensure that it can be run safely within current guidelines, while still being enjoyed by those participating. Please note this means that some clubs with pupils in more than one year group will now rotate on a termly basis to avoid mixing bubbles. All
clubs will start in the week commencing Monday 14 September. Pupils will be able to sign up for non-chargeable clubs during PSHEE on 10 September, and it is expected that all Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils will select a minimum of three clubs. All pupils will be encouraged by their Tutors to keep a log of their participation in these and other Co-Curricular activities using the Unifrog website. This will serve as a record of their commitment to, and
involvement in, the Co-Curricular life of the School. It will also be a valuable tool for personal reflection and preparation for the writing of personal statements for UCAS and job applications in the future.
All chargeable clubs are going ahead, with the exception of Yoga (which we hope to start in January), and additional Swimming lessons.
To sign up for chargeable clubs that have not previously been requested, please contact Mrs Press in the School Office – who will send you the appropriate form
