Food and Drink
Water is available at all times and pupils are encouraged to drink regularly. Cans, cartons and bottles of flavoured drinks are not allowed in School.
A cooked breakfast and/or cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt and fruit juice is served from 7.15 – 8.00am to Nursery and Pre-School pupils attending an extended day and those pupils from Reception to Year 6 who are booked into Breakfast Club.
All pupils are provided with healthy snacks at break time. Pupils in Nursery, Pre-School, Reception and Key Stage 1 may also have a drink of milk.
All pupils and teachers eat lunch together in the Dining Hall, in two sittings: Early Years start lunch at 11.50am and Key Stage 2 start lunch at 12.45pm. Pupils in Nursery and Pre-School are served at the table, Reception choose and collect their meal choices with staff supervision, and Years 1 – 6 have trays and are supported in their choices. Good table manners are expected and we encourage children to eat a full and balanced meal. We will always do our best to cater for special diets which can be requested by writing to Deputy Head, Mrs Conway.
