Our Junior School swimmers travelled to the London Aquatic Centre in the Olympic Park to represent Walthamstow Hall in the IAPS Swimming National Finals on 8th June.
Reaching this stage meant our pupils had qualified within the top 20 Independent Prep Schools in the country and they delivered more phenomenal results on the day.
They had qualified for three relay events and five individual events. The relay team comprised: Isabelle, Sophie, Chloe, Elicia, Charlotte, Sophie, Evie and Ella-Marie, who swam outstandingly to knock off several seconds in each race, with the following results:
U11 Freestyle Relay | 5th place |
U11 Medley Relay | 7th place |
U10 Medley Relay | 17th place |
In the individual events the competitors and results were as follows:
U10 50m Butterfly | Evie | 4th place |
U10 50m Backstroke | Charlotte | 19th place |
U11 50m Butterfly | Elicia | 14th place |
U11 50m Backstroke | Isabelle | 7th place |
U11 50m Freestyle | Sophie | 11th place |
Head Swimming coach at Walthamstow Hall, Mr Richard Smith said “Well done to all the swimmers who competed exceptionally well among many of the best competitors from around the country, it was a truly fantastic effort from all who represented Walthamstow Hall at the IAPS National Finals.”
