Coronation themed painting, making, doing, singing and picnicking have been the order of the day at the Junior School today.

A popular activity was pupils making seed bombs, bug hotels and bark rubbings to contribute to a whole school Coronation Tree Collage, reflecting King Charles’ interest in the environment. Key Stage 2 pupils are looking forward to rounding off their celebrations with a special tea with their families.

Senior School Prayers drew attention to a part of tomorrow’s service often overlooked, the wooden chair used at every coronation for 700 years. Director of Music, Mr Castell then gave the School a guided tour of the wonderful music which will be heard at Westminster Abbey tomorrow.

Walthamstow Hall send congratulations to His Majesty King Charles III on the occasion of his coronation. We wish him a happy and glorious reign, and thank him for his dutiful service.
