Our U14 netball team are third in the country after a brilliant day of competition at the National Finals on Sunday 12th March.
The players had qualified at county and regional levels to be one of the top 18 teams in their age group at the National Finals at Oundle School in Northamptonshire.
The Wally U14s played eight matches in their pool, winning five (Millfield, Clitheroe, St. Albans, Ashville College and Queen Elizabeth Grammar), losing two narrowly (Bromsgrove 11-9, Yarm 9-8) and drawing against St. Swithuns. This meant they ended second in their section.
Walthamstow Hall then played and lost to reigning champions Putney High School in the Semi-Finals. Putney went on to defend their title.
Our U14s dominated the third place play-off against Yarm, sealing the bronze medal with a convincing 17-6 win.
It was a fabulous day of netball and our team played brilliantly, showing true resilience and excellent team work. A big thank you to the parent spectators for all your great support.
