There was a standing ovation for the first performance of Coram Boy last night. The feedback coming into the Drama Department is very appreciative:
“I have seen many good school productions over the years, but this just blew them away. Every single actress was so professional, remained focused throughout and acted to such a high level. I left the theatre buzzing.”
“Wally is lucky to have such a talented pool of girls and I love the way you spread the cast and gave everyone their time on stage.”
“To you and the team (actors, musicians, costumes, make up, scenery and lighting), to hold an audience so completely is something any professional group would be proud of. I was held in the grip of the story in a profoundly intense manner; a stunningly emotional performance.”
The icing on the cake was the presence of ten cast members from Wally’s 2014 production of Coram Boy, who returned to School last night to watch the play. Afterwards, cast members past and present mingled, swapping notes on their experiences. Head of the Drama Department, Victoria Bower-Morris was delighted to call each alumna on stage.
