“An outstanding performance, particularly in Numbers”. This is how The Learning Skills Foundation described Zara’s performance in the finals of the UK Memory Competition.
Zara and her fellow Year 6 pupil Emilie both took part in the event. They were given five minutes to use the memory strategies they had learned from their Q lessons to remember as much data as possible from a piece of text. They then took memory tests in words, names and faces, numbers and information on the document.
Zara wins a prize of £200 and the Junior School will hold the Junior Memory Champion trophy for another year – this is the third time we have held this trophy!Back to all news
