Firstly, congratulations to Emily in Year 7 who has been selected for the 11 year old Development Pathway Camp by the Kent County Swimming Association. Well done Emily.

Walthamstow Hall competed on Saturday 2nd October at the Kent Secondary Schools’ Relay Championships.

This was the first major school swimming competition since 2019, with the School represented in all the women’s events. Every swimmer played their part in a very successful afternoon that included silver medal success in three of the six categories against a highly competitive field of athletes from schools within the county. The teams comprised the following swimmers:

Junior Age Group Sophie, Imogen, Isabel and Emily

Intermediate Age Group Fern, Maisie, Danielle, Gabriela, Alice, Freja, Iris and Isabelle

Senior Age Group Edith, Jasmine, Amelia, Lilie and Imogen

The results were as follows:-

Junior Team
Freestyle Relay 5th
Medley Relay 2nd

Intermediate A Team
Freestyle Relay 5th
Medley Relay 5th

Intermediate B Team
Freestyle Relay 6th
Medley Relay 6th

Senior Team

Congratulations to all of our Swimmers on superb performances. The times posted on Saturday should put Walthamstow Hall in a strong position for qualification in some of these events at the English Schools’ Finals in November.
