It was wonderful to welcome so many Old Girls to the School on Saturday 2nd October for our first reunion since before the pandemic began. Our usual June date had to be postponed in 2020 and then again this summer.
More than a hundred former Wally pupils came to visit, with leaving dates ranging from 1947 to 2011. Thank you to the Catering team for laying on a fabulous tea to refuel everyone after revisiting favourite old haunts and classrooms.
Our Librarians and School Archivists, Mrs White and Mrs Bretz used the school archives to put on a fantastic display of photographs, old CODA magazines, programmes and uniform to help visitors travel down memory lane.
Pictured above is 1971 leaver Barbara, who was reunited with her old boater which she had donated to the archives some years ago.
1943 leaver Joy sent in jars of her homemade strawberry jam, which raised £72.50 for this year’s School charity, Plan International.
We hope very much that we will be able to hold our usual Summer reunion, next year, on Saturday 11 June 2022.
Our eyes are now turned to our next Old Girl event, Networking drinks and canapes at The In and Out, St James’ Square, Piccadilly on Thursday 18th November. To book a place, visit:
