Our students have been enjoying rest, relaxation and some impressive physical pursuits over the long summer holidays.
Isobel in Year 11 set herself a challenge to climb the equivalent height of Mont Blanc, (4810 metres) ahead of her tackling the mountain itself with her father in 2022.
Scaling The Index in Chamonix
Izzy in fact climbed twice this height (9650 metres) on multiple climbs during an active holiday in the French Alps, raising some money for her House charity, the Alzheimer’s Society along the way. Congratulations Izzy, we are impressed you exceeded your own climbing goal so thoroughly!
Madeleine in Year 9 is a keen athlete specialising in the discus. Last year she ranked 63rd in the UK and 23rd in the South East for her age in the discipline.
Over the summer, Madeleine maintained her discus skills by training remotely with her coach at Sevenoaks Athletics Club, Darrell Smith who is also our School Running Coach.
