At ‘Virtual Wally Hall’ teachers have been very keen to encourage students to take a break from their screens and so have punctuated the online lesson timetable with activities which get them moving and thinking creatively. In their lessons* this week Year 8 have been tasked with going outside, appreciating nature and then producing a creative response to what they have experienced. After her trip outside, Beatrice composed and played this beautiful piece, we think it’s the perfect way to start the Bank Holiday weekend, enjoy.

*is a new programme developed by Walthamstow Hall for Key Stage 3. It is a mixture of practical skills, critical thinking and personal qualities which aims to encourage creative and critical thinking, independence and problem solving. It is centred around Jean Piaget’s ideas of “knowing what to do when you don’t know what to do”.
