Dear Students and Staff,

This week’s ‘Active Challenge’ from the PE Department is for Junior and Senior School pupils and staff to complete the 2.6 Challenge, and help Walthamstow Hall show our support for NHS Charities Together.

The 2.6 Challenge has been taking place to raise funds in lieu of the postponed London Marathon.

The challenge needs to be an active challenge and use either 2.6, 26 or even 260 as the challenge target, for example:

– 26 bounce routine on your trampoline

– 2.6 km walk or run

– 26 steps taken in a handstand position

– 26 m covered in a ‘wheelbarrow race’

– 26 flights of stairs

– 2.6 miles on a scooter

– 26 laps of your garden, completed on a space hopper

– 26 m with a full cup of water on your head

– 260 lacrosse passes and catches without dropping it!

As you can see from the photo I chose to cycle 26km for my challenge but the options are endless – what will your challenge be?

Try to encourage friends and family to sponsor you for completing this challenge – all donations can be given on our JustGiving site using the link below, and will go directly to the outstanding cause that is the NHS Charities Together.

To complete this task students and staff need to submit a file on Firefly that explains the challenge they completed – this would ideally be a photo or short video clip – we want to see what you have achieved!

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!
