Teachers have been demonstrating to students how to engage with virtual learning ahead of the closure of the School at 4.00pm tomorrow.

Mr Castell explained to Years 7, 8 and 9 in the Ship how they could access work, see videos posted by their teachers and take part in live tutorials using Microsoft Teams.

He reassured them they could do this using their home desktop computer, laptop or their personal mobile device, thanks to the connectivity of software Office 365. He also urged patience with understanding as this is a learning curve for staff and students alike.

Years 10 through to 13 have experienced Microsoft teams in their lessons this week.

A letter to Junior and Senior School parents about remote learning will be sent to parents this afternoon. The remote learning programme will have two phases. The first will run from next Monday to term end on Thursday with students following their usual lesson timetable via Firefly tasks. Phase 2 commences on 20 April, the start of the Summer term, when Microsoft Teams will enable virtual lessons to be added to the timetable.
