It’s National Careers Week so our Careers Coordinator Mrs Hayes visited the Junior School to get Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 pupils thinking about jobs that exist now and ones that might exist in the future.
Green career coach, asteroid mining engineer or human body part former, anyone?
Some of these roles are so futuristic, Mrs Hayes had to explain what they meant.
Pupils played a “Guess that job” quiz, watched two short films about roles in the construction and creative industries and then counted how many jobs they could think of.
Mrs Hayes explained how the subjects pupils are studying now are helping develop their skills for the future. It’s exciting to think of what fields we can work in when we are grown up.
