Coffee tables at the ready! The latest editions of our School magazines will be making their way home this afternoon. Senior School magazine, CODA, which was first published over 60 years ago, has had a make-over and is now full of editorial features written by our new student editorial team. The students have written about what interests them. Read about; how Year 13 Karis spends her holidays helping midwives in Morocco, how Lacrosse is more than just a game for 2019 Leaver Amelia, what students see as the pros and cons of the School mobile phone policy and the composing career of Mr Clements, among many other things.

CODA is joined for the first time this year by a new, younger sister, BOOM, a magazine devoted to the Junior School. ‘BOOM’ seemed the perfect moniker for CODA’S new stablemate. As Miss Ferro explains in her introduction to the magazine, not only is a boom crucial for steering a boat’s course and is a loud and resonant sound, certainly something which we heard at this morning’s very happy Valentine’s Breakfast. The magazine showcases highlights from the last year from the whole-school theme days (Curiosity, Creativity, Confidence, Collaboration and Courage) through to pupils’ work, performances and sporting achievements.

Happy Half Term reading.
