The Senior School Carol Service at the Tonbridge School chapel was a beautiful, joyful evening.

The whole-School candlelit event was opened by Year 13 Emma playing a series of pieces on the organ. The processional carol Once in royal David’s city set the tone, with a stunning solo for the first verse.

A student from each year group gave a reading and the Senior Choir and two Chamber Choirs led the full congregation in plenty of favourite Christmas carols.

Highlights included the Carol of the Bells, by Leontovych and Gaudete, both performed by the Senior Choir.

Huge thanks to Director of Music, Mr Castell and his team for such a wonderful evening.

Headmistress Miss Ferro would also like to thank the “unseen enablers for such an uplifting and memorable service”.

We now know that we raised £1,115.39, which will be shared between the following six charities: British Heart Foundation, West Kent Mind, Beat, Alzheimer’s Society, Hospice in the Weald and The Prince’s Trust. Thank you so much for your generous support.
