Year 8s have enjoyed an inspiring afternoon with the Diverse Leaders Network, led by the very engaging Gloria Ogunyemi and Helene Estien.
The 12 week programme aims to develop students’ confidence by introducing them to a range of role models they can relate to.
Gloria – who co-founded the DLN – brings a different colleague each week and this time it was Helene, who talked about her work creating the 2012 Olympic village and now leading social housing in Hackney.
Helene set students a task of allocating funds to serve a community, requiring them to argue their case for prioritising different projects.
This bespoke programme culminates in a presentation at the Institute of Directors in front of business leaders.
