The children’s cancer charity founded by Junior School parents, Alice’s Arc is to be our main Senior School charity this year.

In a break with usual practice where students get to choose the charity, this time an executive decision was taken to support our Wally family.

Alice’s Arc works with the Institute of Cancer Research, the Royal Marsden Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, so any money donated will support these organisations too.

At prayers on Monday, Director of Sport and Charities Coordinator Miss Leggett told students they would be choosing their House charity for the year. Fundraising efforts start this Friday 20th September with a cake sale for Jeans for Genes.

The Senior School raised nearly £25K for charity last year. Miss Leggett reminded us that it wasn’t all about the money, but also about giving our time and helping others in a spirit of loving kindness.
