Our Charities Coordinator, aka Director of Sport Miss Rachael Leggett led a great Prayers this morning on our charity efforts over the past academic year.
Miss Leggett asked everyone who had baked, wrapped, sung, performed or walked for a Senior School charity event to stand up – and it seemed like no one was left sitting down.
Since students voted the A21 campaign against slavery to be the main Senior School Charity last September, more than £10,200 has been raised by students, parents and staff for this cause, in events ranging from Wally Stage and Screen to Carols at the Station.
Well over the same amount again has been raised for a host of other charities, too many to list, but which include Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, Young Minds, Hospice in the Weald, Alice’s Arc and Cancer Research.
Huge thanks to all those who have given their time, money and enthusiasm to support these worthy causes.
