Year 5 have taken part in a special science session run by Year 12 scientists at the Senior School.

The Royal Society of Chemistry’s Global Experiment was to find the vitamin C content in various fruit and vegetables.

The girls did this by crushing the fruit or vegetable, mixing it with a starch solution and seeing how many drops of iodine it took to turn it black.

They all had a lot of fun with the surprising result of potato having a lot of Vitamin C in it.
