Girls and staff battled wet conditions for the annual staff v Year 6 netball match in aid of Comic Relief on Friday 15th March.

It was a slow start for the teachers with Year 6 scoring goal after goal in the first and second quarter, to see them winning 13-8.

The teachers were exhausted but knew they needed to up their game. The third quarter saw them put on a big increase in pace and skill to score 8 goals to the Year 6 girls’ 1.

It was all to play for in the final quarter with Year 6 girls playing some amazing netball but sadly they couldn’t quite score enough goals to be crowned champions. The final score was 23-17 to the teachers, who were very relieved to hear the final whistle.

Year 6 girls should be very proud of their performance and sportsmanship, they are all fantastic role models to the rest of the school.

Well done to the Players of the Match, Grace C and Mrs Carter and thank you to the rest of the school who came out to support both the teachers and Year 6 girls.
