The Junior School swimming relay team have done brilliantly.
After fighting their way through the Kent Championships and then the Divisional Championships, they went to Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield on Friday for the English Primary Schools’ Team Championships.
Millie, Martha, Olivia, Annabelle and Fern swam convincingly in the heats against the top 24 school teams in England, and made it through to the ESSA finals in both the Mixed Stroke Relay, and Freestyle Relay.
In both finals, the girls finished fourth overall on the day.
Very fine margins distinguished third from fourth places and our swimmers performed outstandingly to finish as one of the top primary school relay teams in England for 2018.
Huge congratulations to everyone – including swimming coach Richard Smith. A big thank you also to the parents who came to support the girls.
