Associations

Friends and Parents of Walthamstow Hall

The Friends and Parents of Walthamstow Hall

(FPWH) is a lively association which supports the School through a wide range of fun and sociable events. FPWH provides both exciting extras to enrich the girls' education and a contribution to the Bursary Fund.

Belonging to the Association is an enjoyable way of becoming involved in the school community whether by helping with our renowned Christmas Fair, coming along to our impressive fireworks display or attending our glamorous balls. For further information please contact the FPWH Chairman, via Walthamstow Hall.

Events
The Friends and Parents organise a wide range of events throughout the year. Recent successes have included a masked Summer Ball, a fireworks and bonfire night and the school's annual Christmas Fair.

The next event will be a Race Night, with fish and chip supper on February 28th.

FPWH has funded in excess of £12,000 of invaluable ‘extras’ at the Junior School and Senior School in recent years and has also contributed to the Bursary Fund.

Over half the funding has been spent at the Junior School for initiatives such as the new library lending system and innovative outdoor play equipment including a ‘Wendy house’ and wooden play boat.

At the Senior School funds have been spent on a computer suite in the Junior Careers Centre and an interactive white board in one of the new science laboratories. (FPWH gave an Interactive White Board to the Junior School the previous year).

Walthamstow Hall Old Girls' Association

Founded over a century ago, this continues to be a large and flourishing part of the wider school community. Twice-yearly meetings enable everyone to keep in touch and old girls provide generous support for the school.

For more information please contact the Secretary, WOGA via Walthamstow Hall.

The 2010 WOGA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Summer Reunion this year was be held at Walthamstow Hall on the afternoon of Saturday 12th June 2010. and well attended by pupils who left in 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990 and 2000.

One WOGA member lost a pair of prescription sunglasses at this year's event. If you picked them up by mistake do contact Sally Pelling at Walthamstow Hall on 01732 451334 who will arrange for them to be reunited with their owner. Many Thanks.
