Senior School

Senior School girl at WH SevenoaksGirls enter the Senior School at 11 from our own Junior School and a wide range of preparatory and primary schools - they can also enter at 13. Please ask about the Scholarships and Bursaries available for the Senior School.

Classes are rarely larger than 20 girls.

They enter into a wide curriculum that gives a broad basis from which to choose their GCSE subjects in Year 9. Where appropriate some GCSE subjects may be taken early. At Walthamstow Hall girls are able to choose option combinations freely rather than from pre-determined blocks of subjects. We are able to offer them maximum choice and flexibility in this way. The vast majority of pupils continue on to our Sixth Form to study their specialist subjects. There is a wide choice available. We are extremely proud of our tradition of academic results in all the public examinations.

Our highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff, together with constantly updated facilities, provide the very best in education and equip girls for the challenges of the 21st century. Girls are encouraged to be confident independent thinkers.

Music, drama and sport are an integral part of the curriculum and also provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities . These give opportunities for interaction within the school itself, with other schools, including boys' schools, the local community and with other countries.
