Another Championship Win for U15 Lacrosse Team, November 2009

The U19 and U15 lacrosse teams travelled to Hertforshire to play in the Abbotts Hill Invitational Tournament on Saturday 7th November.

Both teams met some strong opposition from Hertfordshire and London-based schools. The U19s won one game against St Albans (1-0, drew one against Piper's Corner (3-3) and lost two against St Helen's Northwood (1-2) and North London Collegiate (2-4), the tournament's eventual winners, to come 4th in their section.

The U15s won two against Piper's Corner and Bedford High School and drew two against St James and North London Collegiate. These results put them top of their section and into the semi-finals against St Helen's Northwood, which they won 3-1. In the finals they met St James once again and raised their game to score an emphatic 5 -1 win to claim the trophy. This is another great achievement by this U15 team who not only played without subs but fielded a different player in goal for each game! A huge thank you to those players who took a turn in goal - it all contributed to what was a fantastic team performance and the win would not have been possible without their help.

Very well done to all the U19, U15 and U12 girls who represented the school on the lacrosse pitch this weekend.
