The 2009 Ship Festival launched on Wednesday 4th November 2009 with an incredible performance by Harry Christophers The Sixteen, winners of this year's Classic FM Gramophone Magazine Artist of the Year Award.
This wonderful evening was followed by the
Festival Concert on
Thursday 5th November in The Ship Theatre where
Walthamstow Hall's orchestra, choirs and soloists gave a concert including pieces to celebrate Handel's anniversary year.
On Friday 6th November award winnin poet, Wendy Cope read from her latest anthology Two Cures For Love along with other published and yet to be published pieces.
The festival ended with a bang on Saturday 7th November with a very special talent show Wally's Got Talent.
