Where will my daughter go next?.......

We hold special Parent Information Evenings to inform parents about the opportunities for their daughters' entry to Senior School.

Here are some of the questions we are asked about this subject.

If you would like to find out more, please telephone for an appointment to meet Mrs Austin, Head of Junior School, or our Headmistress, Mrs Milner.

Q. Which Senior Schools will my daughter be able to go to from Walthamstow Hall Junior School?

A. All girls are well prepared for Senior School exams, including the Kent 11+ for grammar school entry. We encourage parents to attend open mornings at other Senior Schools and all doors are open to them. Having looked at the options, around 70-80% choose our own Senior School.

Q. Do WHJS girls win scholarships to senior schools?

A. Yes every year! Girls have been successful in gaining academic and music scholarships to our own Senior School as well as being offered scholarships and awards to other schools for example, Sevenoaks, Benenden and Kent College.

Q. How are girls prepared?

A. Girls are taught study skills in Years 5 & 6 to help them become organised and independent learners. They are well prepared for examinations within the school timetable whilst continuing to enjoy a full and varied curriculum.
