Glowing Ofsted Report

The Ofsted Nursery Inspection report in 2006 included many positive comments. The report focused on the nursery education provision for funded three and four year olds and highlighted the strengths and quality of the school in helping children to achieve the early learning goals.
The inspectors judged a wide range of criteria including: personal, social and emotional development; communication, language and literacy; mathematical development; knowledge and understanding of the world; physical development and creative development.

"Staff know the children well, they are caring, sensitive and nurturing in their approach."
"Staff ensure children receive a full programme of good quality education."
"All children receive a balanced range of opportunities to meet their individual needs and they are afforded good opportunities to access a broad range of interesting and stimulating activities to develop and support their learning."
"Children's confidence and self-esteem is enhanced because the staff praise and encourage them and show delight in their achievements."
"Children show kindness and consideration to others." "Children are very settled."
"Excellent relationships evolve between the children, their peers and the staff."
"All children are respected and valued as individuals."
"Children's behaviour is good and resources are very welll used, helping children to extend their concentration and promote all areas of development and learning."
The school has also been accredited with membership to The Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (I.A.P.S.) an indication of high academic standards, specialist teaching and excellent extra-curricular provision.
