Extra-Curricular Activities
There are plenty of clubs and activities available outside the classroom. These include:
Music
The Junior School has three choirs including the prize-winning 'Cantores' choir and an array of musical ensembles including string group and recorder consorts. Individual music lessons are available on a wide variety of instruments. Parents and friends enjoy our popular musical teas.
Drama
Regular productions take place at the Junior School providing everyone with a chance to shine. Our major productions are something to be seen. Girls have opportunities to take part in public/verse speaking and mime in The Three Arts Festival held each year at the Senior School.
Ballet
Girls from Reception to Year 2 have ballet once a week as part of the curriculum; girls in Years 1 and 2 may also take Modern Dance if they wish as an extra activity. Girls in Years 3 - 6 may choose to do Ballet as an extra activity. All take the relevant exams if wished, with excellent results.
Sport
Our keen sports girls have the opportunity of enjoying: netball, pop lacrosse, tennis, rounders, swimming, gymnastics and skiing (including the new racing team). House and inter-school matches are keenly supported by all.
School trips play a large part in our school life. Day trips include visits to places such as Penshurst Place, Preston Manor, Hastings and The British Museum. There are also residential trips: Little Canada on the Isle of Wight, Le Touquet & Boulogne in France and Juniper Hall.
All girls find these trips to be a marvellous experience in bonding with each other and in developing independence and self-esteem as well as enriching their class work.
