Walthamstow Hall is within easy walking distance of Sevenoaks train station. The school also runs three mini-bus services; one from Tunbridge Wells, one from Tonbridge and one from Kings Hill. The school also has access to seats on the Sevenoaks School mini-bus from Oxted.The mini-buses are well-used and are all equipped with seat belts and provided with mobile phones in case of problems.

The school runs three mini-bus services;

• From Tunbridge Wells, stopping at Langton Road, Barden and Speldhurst Road, Leigh and Hildenborough station.
• From Tonbridge, stopping at Tonbridge School and The Oast Theatre
• From Kings Hill, stopping at Gibson Drive, West Malling High Street, Addington and Ightham.

In addition, Walthamstow Hall has an agreement with Sevenoaks School enabling Walthamstow Hall pupils to travel on the Sevenoaks School Oxted bus:

• From Oxted, stopping at Limpsfield School, Westerham George and Dragon, Sevenoaks Fire Station, Sevenoaks School and then Walthamstow Hall.

The cost of the services are as follows:

• Tunbridge Wells £406 per term
• Oxted £406 per term
• Tonbridge service £396 per term
• Kings Hill £406 per term

for return journeys. Since the buses run come what may, we are unable to give refunds for days missed for any reason.  As with all extras, a term’s notice in writing to Mrs Milner by the first day of term is required for withdrawal from the service at the end of that term.

As so many girls are involved in after-school activities, we have thought it wiser not to leave school at 4.00 p.m. but at 5.30 p.m. Girls waiting for the mini-buses have tea provided at no extra charge and go to supervised study in the library. On Friday only, the mini-buses leave at 4.30 p.m.

All times are closely monitored to see that they are really right. Pick-up and drop-off points are reviewed regularly.
