5th Sport type Other/Generic U15 Badminton vs The DKWay Academy U15 Bronze Tournament (A) More
The girls played well, and had some difficult matches against players that have a lot of experience. In the Girls' Singles the girls won 50% of their matches compared to 10-20% win rate last year. In the Girls' Doubles both pairs won joint Bronze medals for their efforts, with Annabel and Rosie having beaten the eventual winners, so potentially could have achieved a higher placing. Well done to all girls.

On Friday 25 girls from yr10, 12 and 13 travelled to Okehampton for a weekend of netball.
8 teams took to the courts on Saturday in a round robin competition. After everyone had played each other Wally 2 were in 1st place having won all their matches. Wally 1 were in 2nd place having only lost 1 game. Both teams won through to the semi finals. With tough opposition the girls battled hard for their wins to have an all Wally final. In a fiercely fought end to end final Wally 1 won 12 goals to 11. A fantastic display of netball from both teams. Congratulations to all.
Players player of the tournament voted by each player in the team
Wally 1. Genevieve Allan
Wally 2 Eleanor Mackenzie
Wally 3 Tilly Mantovani.

The girls were also able to enjoy the activities on offer that included Curling, ten pin bowling, archery, dodgeball and many more

11th leave School 8.45am, return 12.30pm Sport type Lacrosse U12 vs Caterham (A) Results

WH lost 13-3

The U12s had a well matched first game against Caterham. After a slightly slow start, they came back fighting in the second half with possession being fairly evenly matched between the two teams. Although they had some great play, Caterham had pulled a little too far ahead and they lost 13-3. The score doesn’t reflect the standard of play that the girls brought to the pitch, and they should be very pleased with their first match.
