Julia Streets

Founder and Director of a successful business development consultancy and comedienne!

"Be present, have presence and be presentable", were the words of advice that 1988 leaver Julia Streets passed on to Walthamstow Hall students when she was guest of honour at Prize-Giving. The former second lacrosse team goalie is Founder and Director of Streets Consulting, a business development, marketing and communications consultancy specialising in international financial services in the City and working with firms in London and across Europe, North America and Asia.

In addition to her day job (which apparently she’s very good at because people tell her she shouldn’t give it up), Julia is also an experienced comedienne, writing her own brand of material, based on observations of corporate life drawn from years spent earning her pinstripes in and around the City.  Julia is a member of the Funny Women comedy network and performs regularly at gigs and festivals including the Edinburgh fringe. Her London events frequently sellout.

Julia has been mentioned in a wide variety of publications including The Daily Telegraph, Financial Times, City AM and Financial News and has appeared on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Kent.

In November 2012 Julia published her first book, The Lingua Franca of the Corporate Banker.
