Young scientists judge Royal Society Book Prize

19 October 2011

Science Club members from Years 8 and 9 met today to judge the 6 books nominated for the national Royal Society Book Prize. The short-listed titles were all science based and aimed at young people. After much deliberation and debate the pop-up book, 'How the World Works' was announced winner in what was a very close result.

Judges described the winning book as 'Appealing', 'Good for visual learners', 'Full of good facts', 'Amazing' and 'Brilliant'! Strong recommendations indeed!
