Walthamstow Hall’s Year 13 embarked on the next stage of their life voyage today as they received the A Level results which will see them to their next destinations. The School’s results summary is as follows:

Combined A Level and Cambridge Pre-U results A* to B 87%
A* to A 59%

Note: This summary has been amended following the Government’s U-turn on results on August 17 and reflects students’ Centre Assessed Grades.

Students are pursuing a wide and exciting array of higher education, work and gap year opportunities, including Biosciences at Durham University, Accounting and Finance at the University of Bath, Veterinary Medicine at the University of Nottingham, Maths & Economics at LSE, Media and Creative Industries at the University of Warwick and Fine Art at Nottingham Trent.

Owing to current restrictions students received results electronically this morning with an experienced team of staff on hand to provide help and guidance on site.

Talking from School this morningHeadmistress Miss Ferro said, “Our Year 13 embody Walthamstow Hall’s ‘3 Rs’. They are rooted in stability, relevant in the present and, most of all, ready for the future. They have responded to this year’s extraordinary circumstances with great fortitude, creativity and good humour and have proven beyond doubt that they are equipped to set sail. I am exceptionally proud of the young people they have matured into and delighted that their endeavours have been recognised with this set of very pleasing outcomes.”

The School is looking forward to a special ‘Setting Sail’ ceremony to take place at School on 3 September when we will say a more formal ‘bon voyage’ to Year 13.

The students are pictured here for their  ‘Our Ship has Sailed’ photograph taken on the last day that they were on site back in March. It has become tradition for our leavers to dress up as what they wanted to be when they joined the Senior School in Year 7!
