Year 10 enter Dragons' Den

27 March 2015

Year 10 students wowed a panel of fearsome business dragons with slick presentations and detailed business plans in the culmination of their 'Dragon's Den' careers project yesterday afternoon.

Ten 'companies' battled it out to win the coveted 'Best Product' and 'Best Presentation' awards in the competition judged by Ms Ancrum (Head of Sixth Form, Economics and Business Studies), Mrs Boorman (Business Studies teacher) and Ms Claudia Campbell (HR Manager at Creaseys Accountants Tunbridge Wells).

A broad and eclectic range of new product prototypes were put before the judges including headphones with retractable wires, indestructible phone chargers, pet aromatherapy, eyeliner stencils and double ended pen/pencils.

Leader of the judging panel, Claudia Campbell, praised all of the teams for their pioneering ideas, innovative product development, professional business plans and confident presentations. In a close run competition the winner of Best Product was Echo for their fold-away headphones with retractable wires. Winner of Best Presentation was Switch It, who presented a new double ended pen/pencil combination.
