Many congratulations to the winners of the short story creative writing and book mark design competitions run by the English department to celebrate World Book Day.

Short Story Competition - Seniors

Short Story Competition - Lower School

Book Mark Design Competition - Seniors

Book Mark Design Competition - Lower School
Winner: Jemima Andrews
Runner up: Kirsty Dickson
Highly commended: Alexandra Bailey, Scarlett Goffin and Louisa Gray

The English Department is delighted to announce that 2013's Creative Writing Cup is now open. To celebrate the school's 175th anniversary this year's Creative Writing Cup entries must include the numbers one, seven and five. Students can write in any genre of their choosing but the word limit is 1,000. It is recommended that students writing poems submit a couple. Submissions can be handed in or emailed to any member of the English department by 3rd May.
