Wally Hall All Stars

25 August 2016

Year 11 students at Walthamstow Hall were starry eyed this morning as they celebrated another exceptional set of GCSE and IGCSE results.

70% of all grades were A* and A. One third of students achieved straight A*/A in 10 or more subjects and almost half of students achieved A*/A in 9 or more subjects!

4 students, Annie Blundell, Tabitha Brewer, Emily Pitts-Tucker and Georgia Rawlins achieved straight A*s in 10 or more subjects.

Following hot on Year 11’s heels, Year 10 students collected the results for their first GCSE for Religious Studies, 99% achieved an A* - B result, in the exam, which they had all taken a year early.

Talking as the girls collected their results, Headmistress Jill Milner said;

“I’m so very proud of the girls and staff and thrilled that their hard work has really paid dividends. These strong results are a clear reflection that the quality of our teaching and the engagement of students span right across the curriculum. Our results in the core subjects, taken by all students, clearly demonstrate the incredible levels of ‘added value’ delivered by teaching here. 98% of students achieving A* - B in Maths and 91% achieving A*/A in English Language is a phenomenal testament to this.

These results are a perfect platform for successful A level and Cambridge Pre-U studies and we look forward to working with these girls, and the new Sixth Form students joining us in September, as they enter this next exciting phase of their education with us.”

In summary, Walthamstow Hall’s GCSE/IGCSE results were:

40% A*

70% A*/A

92% A* - B

100% A* - C in 7 or more subjects including English and Maths.
