U19s scoop 3rd title for WH

29 January 2016

The U19A lacrosse team made it a hat trick of Kent Indoor Tournament wins for Wally Hall last night, winning at Benenden. They follow the U13 and U14 teams who have also won their Kent Indoor Tournaments this month.

The U19 squad was split into A and B teams and they played 2 section games each. The Bs lost their matches against Benenden C and Benenden A and played Kings in a play-off match, which they only just lost to give them 6th place in the tournament.

The A team won their section games, beating Benenden B and Kings to go through to a semi-final against Benenden C. They won this match 4 - 0 and progressed to the final where they met Benenden A. This was a very physical encounter, not for the faint-hearted, and Benenden took an early 2 - 0 lead. The A team kept their heads up and clawed back the score line - once they had drawn level, they ran in some fast goals to finish the game with a comfortable 5 - 2 win. A fantastic and well-deserved win which gives Walthamstow Hall 3 out of the 4 indoor titles. Well done to all our players on their outstanding performances.
