The Times ranks Walthamstow Hall 25th in UK

In a league table published today The Times has ranked Walthamstow Hall 25th in its league table of 359 UK state and independent schools based on 2014 A level, IB and Pre-U results. The table is based on the proportion of A*, A and B grades (and their IB and Pre-U equivalents).

The 25th ranking is Walthamstow Hall's highest position in The Times league tables and makes Walthamstow Hall the highest placed local school in 2014.

Other schools included are; Caterham (42), The Judd (62), Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar (73), Bromley High (122), Dartford Girls' Grammar (129), Skinners (147) and Invicta Grammar (163).

It is worth noting that if the table had been based purely on A* grades Walthamstow Hall would have been ranked in the UK's top 10.

This result is a worthy reflection of the hard work and dedication of our students and teachers and is all the more remarkable when it is considered that alongside their studies our 2014 leavers were also taking part in extensive extra-curricular committments; playing sport at county and national level; performing with the national youth theatre and national youth orchestras; completing Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions and volunteering in the community as well as fulfilling extra-curricular commitments and responsibilities in school to the highest standards.

Many, many congratulations to our brilliant, multi-talented Class of 2014, we can't wait to see what you do next.
