Sevenoaks School v. Walthamstow Hall

Swimming Match Report Monday 23.1.2017

On Monday our Senior School swimmers competed away against Sevenoaks School. This was a very competitive swim match with the individual events swum as 100 metre races rather than the standard 50 metres. There were many close races in what proved to be a successful and enjoying evening for Walthamstow Hall’s Swim Team and the results were as follows:

Intermediates girls:-      56                                     Intermediates girls:-       70

Final scores (including all relays):

Sevenoaks School:-                          117 points

Walthamstow Hall:-                         153 points

There were first places in the junior age group for:   

Imogen Stoddart                   100m Individual Medley
Lilie Chambers                       100m Butterfly
Amelia Childs                         100m Backstroke
Imogen Stoddart                   100m Breaststroke
Amelia Childs                         100m Freestyle

This age group also won the Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay. 

In the intermediate age group there were first places for: 

Bethany Hook                          100m Individual Medley
Emma Wilson                           100m Backstroke
Isabella Childs                          100m Breaststroke

This age group also won the Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay.

In the combined age group for the Tandem Relay comprising of 6 swimmers Walthamstow Hall again finished first.

Congratulations to all who competed, it was truly a great team effort that produced such a conclusive performance.  Well done Team Wally.
