Swimming News


The Walthamstow Hall pool saw over 200 competitors from across the region compete in 63 races at the IAPS divisional time trial rounds on Friday. Well done to all of our U10 and U11 swimmers whose results we eagerly await.

It was the turn of the U8 and U9 swimmers on Tuesday 4th February when they swam against Kent College.

Our U8 and U9 swimmers competed against Kent College on Tuesday evening.  It was a very exciting event with final results as follows:

U8                                                                                                     U8

47 points                                                                                         70 points

U9                                                                                                     U9

67 points                                                                                         54 points

The overall score was:

Walthamstow Hall: 114 points

Kent College:           124 points

The girls swam their hearts out, with many of our U8 swimmers competing for the first time.

There were first places in the  U9 age-group for:  Rachel H (Backstroke), Elspeth W (Breaststroke and Freestyle), Claudia A (Freestyle) and Charlotte C(Breaststroke).   First places in the U8 age-group were achieved by:  Felicity Y (Backstroke) and Freya N (Backstroke). 

We had 1st place in our U9 Freestyle relays (x2) and 1st place in our U9 Medley relays (x2). 

Well done everyone and to those competing for the first time, we hope you enjoyed your introduction to competitive swimming!
