Public Speaking Win

Many congratulations to Year 12 Charlotte Sawyer who won the Young Enterprise West Kent Public Speaking Competition last night.

The competition included speakers from Sevenoaks School, Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar, Tunbridge Wells  Grammar School for Boys, Weald of Kent Grammar, The Skinners Kent Academy and Kent College Pembury.

Speakers chose one of three topics to speak on:

'What impact would the introduction of 'Corbynomics' have on the UK and Kent?'

'The fashion industry is often criticised for its harmful effects on its models and its customers. Would it be less successful if it embraced these criticisms?'

'If you could travel in time to 2025, how might have Artificial Intelligence and robotocs changed the way in which we conduct our daily lives?'

Charlotte's speech on artificial intelligence was pronounced the winner by judges Alison Kemp, from Creaseys, Amy Moore, from AXA PPP Healthcare and Roger Kasper, Senior Editor at the Kent and Sussex Courier.

Charlotte is pictured above with her Young Enterprise team mates, who turned out in force to support her.
