Achievement, tradition, Olympic values and a battered old lacrosse stick were key components of this year's Prize-Giving ceremony.

Chairman of Governors, Mr Philip, congratulated girls and staff alike on the school's outstanding results and celebrated developments such as the opening of the new student 'Hub' earlier in the year. Mrs Milner expanded upon this theme and, as we enter our 175th year, observed that Walthamstow Hall, founded as a school and home for the daughters of missionaries in the nineteenth century, still has a strong sense of community at its heart, providing a supportive and inspiring 'home from home' for today's students.

Head Girl, Alex Baddeley linked Olympic values of endeavour and friendship to everyday life at Wally Hall in her thoughtful and inspring speech before guest of honour, old girl, business woman and comedienne, Julia Streets brought out her battle scarred old lacrosse stick as a prop for her funny blend of anecdotes from her days as WH second team goalie combined with wise and insightful career advice, "Be present, have presence and be presentable".

Many congratulations to all of our students on their achievements and successes this year be they in the classroom, on the sports pitches, in the theatre or music rooms, in their Forms or Houses, fundraising or working in the wider community.
