Childrens' book illustrator, Pete Williamson, presented pupils with their well earned prizes for achievement, attainment, progress, endeavour and citizenship at this afternoon's Prize-Giving ceremony. Mr Williamson won the Blue Peter Award for Best Illustrated Book in both 2010 and 2011 for his drawings in Dinkin Dings and the Frightening Things, by Guy Bass and The Raven Mysteries, by Marcus Sedgwick. Most recently he has illustrated a book for Horrid Henry author Francesca Simon called The Parent Swap Shop.

After presenting over 200 prizes, trophies and medals to girls from the Little Shipmates nursery all the way up to the Year 6 leavers Mr Williamson answered questions from budding young artists before handing over a prize of his own, a special one-off drawing of a Wally Hall Junior School pupil!

Many congratulations to all of our prize-winners on their achievements this past year and especially to our Year 6 leavers who we wish every success as they go up to their senior schools in September.
