On Top of the World

The Sixth Form Lecture Series scaled new heights today as the awe-inspiring guest speaker was adventurer and mountaineer, Bonita Norris, who in 2010 became the youngest woman to successfully climb Everest.

Bonita told the students about starting out as a simple novice climber and persevering with her training until, at the age of just twenty, she found herself standing atop the highest peak in the world. Bonita has also reached the North Pole and was part of a record breaking team that summited the world’s fourth highest peak, Mount Lhotse. Alongside her mountaineering Bonita has raised money and awareness for various charitable organizations. Needless to say, the Sixth Form very much enjoyed Bonita's lecture.
