Kent Tennis Win

26 April 2016

On April 20th two Walthamstow Hall U13 tennis pairs competed in the Kent Schools Tennis Tournament at the Bromley Tennis Centre.

The girls played very well in their section matches and Scarlet Collins and Eliza Mantonvani came 4th in their section having just lost matches by very close margins.

Amelia Eagle and Eleanor Mackenzie came top in their section and this took them through to the semi-finals where they beat a strong pair from Sir Roger Manwoods. The final was a familiar encounter with Benenden's A team and Amelia and Eleanor had a difficult start, losing the first two games. They kept their composure however, held their nerve and dug deep to pull the match back to 2 - 2. In the final game of the match, they broke the Benenden serve with some excellent attacking returns to win the tournament and bring back some much-deserved medals.

Well done to both pairs on their excellent performances.
