House Performing Arts

10 February 2012

Penshurst triumphed in this year's House Performing Arts Competition, winning the House Performing Arts Cup for their performances of songs from the musical 'Oliver'.

The Hall stage was in turns filled with urchins, wild beasts, rock stars and rockers as each House performed their abbreviated versions of the musicals; Hairspray, Oliver, The Lion King, Mama Mia, Grease and We Will Rock You.

Congratulations to every student, the 'mini musicals' were performed to a very high standard reflecting the monumental efforts of the House Captains who have worked tirelessly on rehearsing their House choirs this term. Our independent adjudicator, professional world class clarinettist Mary Barrett, had a very close field to choose her winners from.
