House of Fun and Games

22 June 2015

Previously untapped essential life skills including space hopping and balancing eggs on spoons came to the fore at the inaugural 'House Fun and Games' competition on Friday. The afternoon was expertly organised by the House Captains and Sixth Form as a replacement for the usual summer House Athletics, postponed this year due to the completion of the new Sports Hall building works.

Students from Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 threw themselves into the obstacle courses and races, which included the sack race and space hopper relays, with huge amounts of enthusiasm and support for the competitors.

Undoubtedly the most fiercely fought races of the day were the Staff vs Sixth Form running and space hopper relays where the Sixth Form triumphed in style.

The afternoon ended with a 'whole house race' after which the long anticipated results were announced...

6th place Down
5th place Chartwell
4th place Knole
3rd place Montreal
2nd place Penshurst
1st place Quebec

Thank you and congratulations to the Sixth Form for devising and running such a fantatsic afternoon of fun and games.
