High Drama in The Ship

It was an evening of opposites in The Ship yesterday as A level students performed the devised plays they had written and staged themselves; one a bleak noir tragedy and the other a slapstick comedy of errors.

Speakeasy brutally portrayed the sleazy underbelly of 1920's New York as the life of a young ingenue from the suburbs tragically unravelled in a seedy nightclub.

In stark contrast The Murder at Knole brilliantly observed the overblown egos and eccentricities of a small amateur dramatics company staging a murder mystery.
